There might be a few paid ones and that is why we created the Anonymous Basher Survey. So far 15 people took the survey and only jokers have admitted they are paid. Still, it was worth a try.

So far 53% of the investors taking the other survey feel paid bashers exist -- that's 1 out of every 2 investors.

Myth it may be, but perceptions are another.

PS: Still curious about those that are. How few are they, 1%?

But the "myth" proponents base their argument on the fact that nobody posts admitting to be a paid basher. That's just silly in my opinion.

If there are "paid" bashers, then they have to be hiring people from somewhere. And as such it would leave evidence that could be traced. Someone would get fired, quit, become angry and then expose it to the world.

Where is this evidence?

BTW, no one has PMed me yet about the $15 per post bash pay. When you see me start to generate over 200 bash posts per day. You will know I have a new job..lol..

Many who claim there is no such thing as a paid basher point out that paid pumpers are supposed to disclaim, and many or perhaps most do, in fact, disclaim what they are getting paid. The argument then takes a leap and claims that there are no posts that say, "hi, I'm a paid basher and I'm here to tell you that this stock is a scam for these reasons....."

That's not the argument. The argument is that while the SEC has gone after countless paid promoters for undisclosed touting, they've never found any undisclosed "paid bashers".

And of course the SEC has also gone after a great many pumpers and promoters who DO make disclosure.

They argue that even if someone posts around the clock bashing a stock that is being traded by the employing entity, that person is not really a paid basher because he's not some random poster who volunteers to bash for a nickel a post.

Huh? I can't recall anyone EVER making that rather lame argument. It makes no sense.
