NS is actually the same temp as CT. Most people don't know that. the gulf stream passes off the coast and has a moderating effect.
When I've driven up in the winter, I've noticed that Maine and New Brunswick, on average, are about 10-15 degrees colder than my part of NS.
With the exception of two months in the winter: Feb/March, the temp usually matches that of Danbury Ct within one or two degrees.
And actually, I'm no fan of cold weather, but for some reason quality of life is often better in these parts of the country...they're usually less crowded, more open land, less traffic and more relaxed people. Go figure
