From listening to Kelly's presentations I think she (swog) was just astonished that erby/chemo gave her 11 month OS in both arms. They didn't anticipate anything positive at all, being that they (herbst) had numerious 1st line trials with iressa and tarceva.
There are many reasons that "the rumor mills" could be churning and i'll tell what impresses me is just what you're saying, "we'll have to wait 7 months".
I think Emerck/Imclone/Bristol have finally adopted the business methods of it's competitiors and it should know when to use podium and when to use the closet. They want the podium this year.
If you recall one of my previous posts, with the exception of the ps2 patient, it seems Emerck has a nice patient population combined with a new dosing regime.
