OT- Anna story
(Sorry, ran out of posts yesterday-g)
My daughter had just been born, and I was driving to get some croissants/coffee for family. I got to the 4 way stop (real small intersection). And I look to my right, and I see a pretty blonde in a Porsche. I looked away for a sec and thought, "that's Anna Kornikova". She had a house about 3 blocks from mine, on an island on Miami Beach.
Anyway, she didn't move, but was on the right. We got there at same time, so being gentleman that I am (g), I let her go first. Actually, wouldn't mattered if it were a granny, or, or. I would let them go. She had right away.
What is funny or unique: As she drove away, ANOTHER Porsche drove right behind her- before I could go. (both were brand spankin' new). The 2nd Porsche had Michigan licence plates. At the time, Anna was still "married" to Pavel Bure, the hockey star. The guy in the 2nd Porsche (trailing her) was Sergei Federov, her on/off again romance- which obviously "on" again, unbeknowst to Anna watchers everywhere. And I had the National Enquirer scoop, and I sat on, and did nothing.
After all, all of us who have kids remember how crazy those first few weeks were. I was more interested, quite honestly, in the croissants and some good sleep (little did I know that wasn't coming for months) than Anna's little love triangle.
BTW- She was grinding gears all the way down the street. It was pretty funny.
