Thanks for the explanation. If I got this right, you are going to experiment with an S.I. type set up where a board 'owner' can arbitrarily ban someone, and then that person can set up another board to counter the first one if he so chooses.

Are you doing this in preparation for merging the two sites (S.I. and iHub), or will you keep iHub as a stock/message board community where civility should be the order of the day?

Not arguing with you. I personally prefer the iHub model over the S.I. model. I would think that if moderators were held to the same standards of civility/personal attacks/name calling and vulgarity on both stock and non-stock boards things would sort out for you. It does seem rather inconsistent that in the User Agreement you claim admin reviews all deletions, and at the same time imply you want no responsibility in this regard for non-stock boards. I imagine most people, when they signed up, didn't realize this.

Good luck. I'll look forward how you quantify the results of this test. How long is it going to run for? And when are you going to post results?

Thank you, Matt. Now I understand what you are trying to accomplish (I didn't before).

Good luck with the experiment. IMO, it will either work or will get ugly (not a slam, just an observation). If it gets ugly, maybe Bob or you can create a "padded room" area totally outside the bounds of the iHub stock site (without the look, feel, logo of iHub) and stick all those boards in there. Kinda like an RB romper room for the children <LOL>. Heck, if you do that, maybe you can charge them to use the boxing ring! (Always trying to make a buck!)

Another thought: I would hate to see some of the good non-stock boards leave iHub if you did this. Boards like Dream Machine, Computer Learning, Home Improvement, that board where we talk about grilling veggies <VBG>.

You don't feel that way about fishing boards?
