#13254 RE: Ugo22 #13248

Ugo I share your interest in further understanding the connection, if any, between the Iris service and the unlimited service. I also have interest in understanding the "any phone (landline, cell, pay) in Mexico and the US". Veno, does US imply only Telnor coverage in the US?...(others, especially new posters, note theking2you comments on that)? Which then begs the next question. If not all over the US, what are US carrier's thinking? I want this service and have wanted it for years. I have asked Cingular about it. At times I am on the road and have to con-call into the offices. Not fun in traffic and unproductive to find a timely stop on the thruway. I can't believe how many people drive with that tilt-head pose, cradling the cell phone between neck and shoulder. This technology is necessary considering only safety...

BTW I see this as huge for Enterprises, not just for biz productivity, but to leverage VoIP in place of PBX. If large enterprises start to unwind their legacy positions in fixed switched telephony, blowing up the entrenched "stovepipe mentality", I think the richest man in the world, Carlos Slim, just hitched his wagon to another shooting star.

I welcome comments/thoughts on the technology Telnor used to leverage Iris...theking2you mentioned rounds of hardware upgrades. Please Google PBX, VoIP, and stovepipe for further DD on this subject. I will do the same again. And a reminder, what is Dial-Tone 2.0 and what is its relationship to Web 2.0? Heady questions, huh Ugo?
