Yeah, I've got a comment:

I'm absolutely thrilled. Welcome back and let's make this site great.

Gotta toot my own horn a sec.

If you visit the "Hot" page http://www.investorshub.com/boards/hot.asp , note that the Top Members list (and others) is updated in realtime at the click of your mouse. We may be the first with that feature. I'm especially proud of it. It's a bit on the expensive side horsepower-wise, but I think it's worth it and likely won't be too bad too soon.

When I buy equipment, I don't mess around. These are a couple of firebreathers we're running on. Comparatively speaking.

Bob,

Congrats on your position here, you have mentioned several times that you and Matt share the same goals for what you want Ihub to become, but you don't mention what that is? Comments please, and Happy New Year!

Welcome aboard, Bob.

I want to stress to everybody, this line.

In a nutshell, Matt will continue to be the Admin of the site and will deal with everything customer-related. In my opinion, he's extremely good at it and not only do I not need to be involved in this process, I'm frankly very relieved to not have that responsibility.

I am the dood carrying the whoopin' stick around here. We've learned a lot from our past mistakes and neither one of us will be played off eachother for Admin issues, like had happened in the past. That was a huge problem that aint happening this time.

We have put together a killer team now. We've cleaned out some old laundry, as well. But I will talk about that later, in more detail.

For the last 2-3 years, this has been a hobby for myself and Gary Bryant -- the person who wrote the original code and is still with us today. I'd also like to thank him for all he's done. He wrote solid code to build upon without any kind of compensation. With a little luck, we'll all make some coin off this one day. But now is the time to make this thing kick some serious bootay. We are in a position now to capitalize on this market. We have the right team and equipment in place.

It's been a heck of a trip for the last few years. I've made countless mistakes. This is my first business project, so I am learning as I go. Things were looking pretty bleak a few months ago when all this internal stuff was going on and Bob hiring/leaving. I've done my best to turn this site around. And things are looking pretty bright now. On a financial/asset basis, the company is stronger than it's ever been. Come to think of it, we are stronger than ever on a membership and page view basis, as well.

One day, I'll go into the entire history of the site. It's very interesting (and humorous) how this whole thing has evolved.

But enough of that. Time to get down to business.

I look forward to the opportunity that is now in front of me. I'm secure with the team in place and ready to rock and roll.

We've got a lot planned. And this time around, we'll be delivering the goods.

Interesting ... compares reasonably perhaps with what they say about the glory days of The Young And The Restless

Still lots to like about this site ... plain-jane Dryer-style layout, fast loading, hard to beat that for a start, the code must be well written ... i've been lurking periodically over the months, decided i liked young Matt for a number of things he's said in re quality of discussion .... so, the deletion thing and his failure to date to discover las chicas latinas aside, there may be potential here ... i'll make some time to support the place

' ... highest on my priority list:
1. Message-text searching ..
'

Yes ... full-text searching, maybe even by specific thread or specific poster? .. and without a time limit [perhaps searchable within a timeframe, like the bulletins of stockwatch.com?] ... sort of thing that turns all those bytes into a useful database ... makes for higher-quality discussion as well, arguably, stimulates more of an effort to think and research before posting, makes it less of a light chat board? ... hard to say, can't hurt anyway .... well good luck with it you guys, and happy new year .... cheers

Congratulations!

I am actully glad to see that You and Matt were able to work out an arrangement satisfactory to both of you. It appears that you are going to exploit your strengths and eliminate your weaknesses. It is clear the IHUB needed someone with Bob's capabilities wearing a programmers hat, while keeping Matt and his superb people skills managing the public end. Congratulations on finding this solution. Here's to hoping it works as well in practice and remains stable.

The fixes and changes are all highly appreciated, I personally look forward to the coming attractions here at IHUB. I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season and may all have a prosperours New Year!

Hey 'SI Bob' <g> and 'IH Matt' <g>

GREAT! I think that you two can really make something out of this site ... or in some other iteration of the collusion of your expertise ... interest ... motivation, most importantly.

I'll 'show up' -g- and try to 'control myself' -g- as to TOU, etc....

Seems to be the 'christian,' 'moral,' 'patriotic' thang to do, don't it?

Until the Bush fraud gets ass-kicked all over real-time mainstream media ...

Starting (finally) right now ... via ENE -- 'Kenny (Lay) boy', Daddy's Carlyle Group intimacy with the Saudis ...

<snicker>

Happy New Year, you two geeks ...

;)

Yippee. All that is wonderful, but I just tried to send out a ChairMail and the system would not allow it. What's up with that?
