Chris,
I respect your opinions more than almost anyone on these threads because you always say exactly what is on your mind. Your last post doesn't disappoint me. You are entitled to your opinions.
I know that Yarter wasn't authorized to speak on Sun's behalf. That's why his comments were deemed against company policy by Sun's PR person.
I guess you had to be there. I was and I'm satisfied Yarter was undoubtedly rash in speaking so freely, but that's all. My opinion (having seen him speak) is that he was not lying in what he said and I do not believe he was letting the restricted (for 2 years) shares influence what he said. I was not born yesterday and I am aware that the shares could have influenced his statements, but I don't think so.
Prior to his leaving for LV, I PM'd Fatty and told him I thought the recent publicity (I called it a pump) concerning Comdex would probably peter out toward the end of the week. It did and, without a major contract being announced, the share price dropped. Does anybody not find that natural?
I have no idea how far the price will fall, but there seemed to be some support around $.90-95 on Friday. To prevent further deterioration of the stock price, ECNC will probably have to issue another PR this week about distribution of the 1,000 free cashpads.
Let's all let the effects of Comdex and iMethods (the marketing strategist) work whatever magic they can. Four weeks ago, I didn't even know if ECNC had a product that could make transactions. Now I know it does. We'll just have to see if now that the baseball field is nearing completion, the people will come.
I expect that for a while longer, ECNC will be a day-trader's dream. Sudden ups and downs based upon fear and greed. If your a day-trader, keep your wits about you. If, like me, you're here for the long term, keep your Maalox handy. ... eom
