#119 RE: JRM_27NY #118

DPHIQ
NWACQ (Northwest Air)
DALRQ (Delta)

All three went ch 11 at the same time. I bought all three at about .33

NWACQ went to about 5 bucks I soild it all last Xmass over 4 bucks. Then they announced the cancell and reissue of common shares.

Delta didnt go as high but did well now its worthless

Delphi was fun because of the flippin ops there. 33 cents to a buck I sold than bought it all back at .55 and sold it all for 1.83. bought it all back at 1.14 and sold it all last xmass for 3.83
I would not touch it again, I think the game is over. I could not find a board talking about any of these at the time.
DPHIQ has to survive if GM is going to survive. GM bought out the contracts on thousands of union employees and Delphi closed most of its US plants.
At he time they all went Ch 11 it was easy to trade because the PPS was news driven and you could watch the tape and see the BIG money going in and out. Last summer for example Delphi had a court date evry several months where the judge was to decide if all the union contacts would be trown out. The pps would skyrocket before the date, then, the judge would postpone the decision saying they need to work it out in arbitration and the pps would again fall like a rock. Like clock work.

NWACQ
After it went to 5 bucks (due to rummors they were being bought out by (I think US air) Northwest submitted their plan which would cancell all common and still people bought and sold which I found wierd. Could have been shorts covering or just uninformed gamblers.

Delpi's only concern with their common shares are the ones held by employees. These shares will most likely be replaced by Delphi leaving the common investor in the cold.
Or
They may not cancell them
but
If they really plan to keep the current shares you will see huge amounts of money comming in from those on the inside that know.
Dont spend you tuition, grocery money here IMO

I love Ch 11 "Q" companies that are large and National news driven, but only at the beggining. The end is most always the same.

2006 was a very very good year
