Are you sure that's not boiler plate wording typically in charters? Besides, it states "could" delay or prevent an acqusition of the company; not "will" prevent.

It may be just them keeping their options open.

"Could Delay Or Prevent An Acquisition Of Our Company".

Interesting. That phrase isn't specific to only COPI.
