Yes, I am a Mayfield fan. That's a date, as long as this year's fiasco doesn't put an end to Mayfield's Cup career. Cup racing is a sponsor driven sport and this "sponsor" has already messed up several drivers' careers. You're right in one regard, sponsors are always looking at a driver's recent accompishments. It's hard to accomplish anything when you have a scam for a sponsor and someone who's been made a fool of for an owner. Even the drivers in this year's current "chase" would have a hard time overcoming those obstacles. If anyone can, it will be Mayfield. But, he has a long, hard road to travel, thanks to Mark, Michelle AND THEIR SUPPORTERS!!!! (you know, the posters on this board who pumped so hard for them).
