As for Cuban.... He isn't just starting a show or a network... He is starting a league... He wants to unionize the fighters and make sure they are treated much like he treats his players. He wants MMA to be just like baseball, football, basketball. I hadn't heard about any deal for the Cubs..
billions are far more than I can fathom so I can't answer that question....
just gotta figure that if he wants to get it done, he's got the resources...
