The fact that a totally new system architecture could boot and be publicly demonstrated in 3 weeks is amazing but starting to become the expected from Intel. How many months after first silicon did AMD finally show Barcelona running taskmanager?

Still impressive that it's been 'born', as Elmer would say :), before Shanghai and even more impressive is the confirmation of the native octal part. Seems AMD will be needing that Montreal MCM part asap if Bulldozer is late.
