darn you are fast. I ran a PR half marathon last sept in 1:31 at 35. I blame it on the fact that I am a late commer to running and that I don't race enough. I like the zen of building mileage and if was up to me alone, I would be doing 60-70 per week yearly average.
A goal is to qualify for Boston on my first marathon with the time of a 35 year old (3:10) and then to do Boston in less than 3. The idea of running marathons every year, or running more than maybe 10 marathons in my life doesn't have any appeal to me (now). Half marathons are fun because you can redline without fear of depleting glycogen. They are my favorite, and I think they can be the most painful and fulfilling distance.
