I don't understand why the ER2Z7 chart I get from prophet.net does not track the value of the contracts closely.
As an example, earlier today, the ER2U7 chart was strengthening as the Russell was moving into positive territory, but the ER2u7 contract would weaken. Then it would do the opposite; it would strengthen just as the chart began to weaken!!
It seems that the futures are subject to (volatility) influences that the chart does not necessarily show, much like options. I find this puzzling.
Can you tell me why this is happening?
