Tainted studies:

I have to say that I absolutely agree with the article. There are reasons why many reported studies are simply not reliable, and most of those reasons center around arrogance, laziness and self deception.

I would bet that this is one of the major reasons why drugs fail in the clinic. The underlying science was not stringently tested, so the "translational" results go haywire.
