He is an idiot, a pathological liar, or possibly both.

I'm sure he has some squirrelly qualification in mind... like how it's a walk in the park to put 1.7B transistors on a chip when you have 24MB of cache, so that doesn't really count. Still, it makes him look extremely out of touch to industry insiders. A CEO of one of a handful of high-end MPU manufacturers worth his compensation package would never make such a gross mis-statement.
