If socialism is the answer, why do so many socialists choose to live here, or immigrate here, for that matter.
Well, socialism has a rich tradition here, but that's beside the point. There are, for instance, 1.5 billion Chinese who don't live here... many who do but many others who live elswhere around the world. And the hardcore of socialists and communists who live in China are holding a large mortgage on this country, one that comprises a fairly large club, in that China could crash the dollar simply by selling off their bonds... and not buying more. So I'm not entirely certain you could call their experiment a failure. I wouldn't want to live there but that's not what we're talking about.
Israeli Kibbutzim are widely regarded to be very successful experiments in socialism and much of Europe leans towards socialism despite the fact that right wingers do get in there a little... Sarkozy may be less socialist than most, but I don't think anyone's confusing his politics with that brand of neo fascism you call for.
So I would reject your argument that social thinking doesn't hold sway in many places.
But it is futile to argue with a socialist.
How the fuck would you know? You'd lose an argument to a house plant. You wouldn't answer one point raised in either of the pieces I posted. Know why? Because they're true no matter the source, (one of them was from "The Nation", America's oldest journal of opinion) and because you aren't bright enough or brave enough argument based on actual fact.
If one was capable of rational thought and reason, they wouldn't have been a socialist in the first place
Next time you need a fire engine, buy your own. Fire departments are after all, one of those failed experiments in socialism you so deride.
