GTC’s “Milk” Patent

In the US, GTC’s most consequential patent is number 7,045,676 (referred to as the ‘676 patent), which covers the production of protein drugs from the milk of transgenic animals. The description of the patent is here:

The ‘676 patent runs until 2021 and has been licensed to Pharming as part of the broad cross-license between the two companies.
