These lawsuits take a long time but from lawyers I have talked to ... this Sulja case was pretty much a slam dunk. Only problem was ... why sue someone who has NOTHING? All you get is a big legal bill at the end of the day.
Why sue Sulja? They have no reachable assets. Owned no land or buildings. Most equipment was leased. Inventory was offset by accounts payable. Company was losing money, e.g. Harrow closure. OSC and SEC fines, penalties and disgorgement would have to be paid first. No point in suing Sulja. imo
Uhmm, actually the lawyers put up the dollars for the suit if they had nothing they would not have taken the class action. Quite frankly the info released already is enough to win civil suit quite easily. Fraud is very easily proved with the nominee accounts and the blatant lies from the company.
