... The sad & maddening thing is that Lt. Col. Paul Yingling is put into this position due to corrupt politicians & his superiors - who have gone along with them ... in spite of what they knew to be the wisest course of action from the beginning , and continuing presently . It is really discouraging to see Col Yingling punished for publishing a paper that is correct ... ".. a key role of generals is to advise policy makers and the public on the means necessary to win wars. “If the general remains silent while the statesman commits a nation to war with insufficient means,” he wrote, “he shares culpability for the results.” -

what could be truer than that ?? .. that angers me also - as we know very well that this administration has one strong point - which is not an admirable one... and that is - NEVER TAKE RESPONSIBILITY .... - what a horrible legacy these rotten men - both military(rummy) & political alike are displaying to the whole world and to our very own younger people . .. then this ...

"..These failures, he insisted, stemmed not just from the civilian leaders but also from a military culture that “does little to reward creativity and moral courage.” ... this is sickening ... yeah ... let's just have all dumb fk* robots in our military - go alongs with no incentive to do the right thing - or even want to 'express' a more effective way of getting the job done .. In that type of environment it makes it mandatory that you show no 'moral courage' ... !

He concluded, “As matters stand now, a private who loses a rifle suffers far greater consequences than a general who loses a war.”... oh ... this makes a lot of sense...;)

Thanks again F6 .. a very fine article and also informative and 'crazy making' ... in this atmosphere that we have been forced to live in , since 2001 - we have to be sure and take care of ourselves ... and anyone else we are able to .. as honestly , this leadership is crazy making .. just think about 'all those 'no bid' contracts - all those contractors - with all that missing money, arms etc... & remember these three ..??

...And .. this stuff doesn't stop .. we find out more on a weekly basis ... and Col. Yingling .. Pays the price for being alive & serving in a time where the leaders of America , both military & political - have LOST THEIR MORAL COURAGE ..... I really pray this works out for him ... ! .. he has been 'passed over ' twice for promotion .. wonder if G. or P. will make a difference ...???

I'm not holding my breath ... thanks for the article .. !
