This is a common form of "protection" for lenders
well it makes sense from a lenders point of view, that way if a company official tries to S-8 the heck out of the company lenders have a recourse... the same with options, and these options were set up upon going public.
As usual the retail investor is at the bottom of the food chain.
Contrary to some peoples ideas, I do not see anything sinister going on here, except an ex CEO that got a little greedy.. However the long term outlook has diminished somewhat and I think most investors are now looking at a break even rather than the gains that were first projected...
Not nearly enough momentum to even contemplate averaging down, however when the time comes and it is picked right those will be the investors to make the most of this unorthodox situation.
