Earnest, I understand your point. And, I have to admit
that I did wonder about the same thing. What I am
most concerned with is why the OSC requested the
reciprical order from the ASC in the first place.
There are certainly many possibilities and I have
examined many scenarios repetitively.
It is certainly possible that the OSC will not
remove the halt on the 7th and that the investigation
might continue. In that case, the OSC does not want
to take the chance of SULJA escaping a ruling simply
because it has changed hedquarters.
What I believe that the OSC does not know is that Sulja's
expansion into Calgary has nothing to do with the OSC investigation and Sulja will likely remain headquartered
in Ontario. The problem is that the OSC has no way of being certain about that so they have taken a precautionary measure
and asked for a halt by the ASC.
Another possibility, and one that I favor, is that
the OSC has finished its' investigation and will
rule on the 7th that Sulja will be fined X number of
dollars. The OSC, in order to protect itself against
potential embaressemnt should SULJA try to pull a fast
one, has protected itself from such a possibility by getting the halt extended to Alberta.
Eanest, sulja clearly made some procedural mistakes and that is what the OSC is investigating. If they find there were violations then a fine should be imposed and that is
exactly what I think will happen. Sulja will more then likely
accept the ruling and the penalty and then move on.
I think the key to all this was made a bit more clear when the ASC stated that the cash raised when Sulja sold stock
was used to pay off debt and expand business. This
indicates to me that the ASC has accepted the events
themselves as not being malevolent. Many longs have
held the postion that Sulja's intentions were both
responsible and laudable. I share those views and I also
accept that some unintentioal mistakes were made.
I am certain that if anyone looked into the daily activities of any major corporation he would find that serious unintentional mistakes are made on frequent basis. Yet,
those companies go with business and continue to grow as they
have been doing for decades.
I would like to close by saying that Sulja has a vision and a plan. I believe the company will continue to pursue its'goals
and succeed at becoming a remarkable entity in the world of
building supplies. Sulja has my support and will continue
to have it for a long time to come.
Thank-You and have a great night!
