under richard lugars plan they would get flat taxed on purchases as a national sales tax but it would also eliminate the payrole tax and business collections of taxes as well as the employer matching...as far as a family of four with two earners trying to make a living today you are talking about me and my family.......... but we consider ourselves blessed....compared to the minimum wage earners who work at walmart and burger king and best buys etc. who are paid $5.50 hour thats $220.00 a week with no overtime(written up for employee wrongdoing if they get over 40 hours a week) lets see thats $11440.00 a year times two earners thats $22880.00....o yes plus no company healthcare for their family of four that they can afford....no retirement or 401k for them....the u.s. taxcode is made for the rich and by the rich.....and the rich dont give a damn about john/jane q. public
