I agree the fundamentals are horrible. I have been following the subprime/housing/credit bubble for some time -- the chickens are finally coming home to roost.
For a long time we were told that the problems are "contained" but now we see that even funds in Europe are affected.
Drop money from the sky, and people will pick it up and use it to buy just about any old thing, no matter how ridiculous.
