docgfd, There should be absolutely NO reason that this lawsuit would stifle the "new" Amergence Inc., business operations, 1st because any competent management would have taken the most basic step of protecting the entity with liability insurance, 2nd because any competent management would have also protected the entity with product liability insurance for its products, and both would insure that such lawsuits would be fully covered and handled by the insurer thus allowing the management and entity to continue operations with the minimal of interruption, besides, the suit is only for $12M, chances are that it can be settled for much much less, but of course, thats not likely to happen if Amergence officials are out fanning the flames by telling the public that its all SonyBMGs fault that the Mediamax product was found defective and liable for the damages that it created.
