laker: 2 things
1) in regards to earnings from 9/6 to 8/23, a co. has 6 wks from end of qtr to report - when release date not confirmed briefing used the 6 wk date of 9/6. MRVL usually reports 3 wks after qtr - and they are doing just that.
This is not a big thing!
2) Pulling out of the conferences - now this is a big thing!!
Bullish side: They are in talks to be acquired, and may be close, so why attend
Bearish side: MRVL is cutting costs - remember we talked about lay-offs coming - and they just don't want to pony up the money to attend.
I pick the bullish side!!
