You are right - ST is not the only maker. In this case though, they are the maker of CKYS keys. Not only do they match, but they match exactly (both in looks AND advertised specs).

But really, i can agree that it doesn't matter much who makes them. What matters, is what else is offered. However, we as investors have not been presented with much.

We have seen the ads for the my fan keys, and other actual solutions - but none ever came to fruition. The only other solution that CKYS offers as a unique product (since you can et personalized keys from anyone, and probably for cheaper), is the security.

I won't comment much, since it is true that i do not have a key in hand. But, from what others have said, the keys they received seemed to have lacked the software that was supposed to set the key apart. If this is true, then it means that the CKYS keys would have no value added over other cheaper alternatives.

Finally - booting OS'es from keys is nothing special. Really, people have been doing it for years, with both linux and XP:

I would also argue over the usefulness of such a setup in a business environment. Aside from the performance (which can be quite bad), there is very little cost benefit; most offices have regular computers anyway, all of which capable of running XP.

A related idea, is of bringing personalized things like your browser (and thus cookies, bookmarks, etc) with you; problem is, is that has already been done before as well.

Uh, CKYS has never shown any software they've developed. The patents were fabricated.

Booting OS's from a pen drive is old. I have a couple that I use for Linux since I don't want it installed on my hard drive. Anyway, I could buy a half terabyte drive to $300.

A "Vista" booting USB pen drive? ROTFLMFAO. You don't have a clue.

Your "1001 uses of a USB drive aren't much different to the "1001" things you can do with a pad of paper. JP's "ideas" were dumb and never went anywhere other than for PR value (which didn't do anything). MyFanKey, MyChildkey or whatever
were (and are) a joke.

Face it. Your investment is virtually worthless and you don't really know what you're talking about. The technology illiterate that's easily impressed with things others ((yawn)) at.

I'd take the hint and get caught up on technology and what it really means. Your posts show you have no real clue whatsoever.

Sorry dude, but this is ludicrous:

"What would you rather have a coffee cup with a company logo or a USB key with a company logo and maybe for the bigger customers that key having the companies health insurance plans or even the companies phone directory distributed on it, the possibilities are endless!"

Health Insurance Plans - Yeah, right. Plans are customized to each client. They have no set plans or pricing. Dumb idea.

Companies (sic) phone directory - Again, utterly stupid. No company goes around giving away their directory. Dumb idea.

Would I rather have a coffee cup? Nope. I'd rather get the crappy drive and reformat it (it's free, after all) and use it to store my MP3's. No one receiving a free drive will check out the contents. From that aspect, a coffee mug makes for a much better ROI from the issuer.

Try again bud. You don't seem to grasp it.
