One of the foremost precepts that conservatives believe in is the preservation of society. To the degree that we see society deteriorating before our eyes, we are going to respond!!! Nobody who has a pulse can say that they don't see the decay of society on the fast track. It's just unbelievable to me.
Abortion is anything but "crap". It is MAJOR issue and will never NOT be one as long as it is allowed without constraint. It's insane to me that it is allowed to the degree it is and I, personally, will never rest until it is considerably more restrictive than it is. And, I'm a LONNNNNNGGGGG ways from being extreme right wing.
Mexicans is anything but "crap". The illegal immigration issue is one of the greatest problems this country has ever faced. There is not only no end in sight, but no will to even find an end. Anyone who is not concerned about it is either blind or has some vested interest in it continuing - as is probably the case with most of our worthless politicians!
Homosexuality is anything but "crap". I'm appalled by the prevalence of it in society. It's exploding. There are so many problems with this, I don't even know where to begin. Suffice it to say, it will NEVER go away as a conservative issue. NEVER!
So, you better be looking for other areas where common ground can be found, because you are HOPELESSLY barking up the wrong tree on those "crap" issues!
