The $160 million figure that I used came from 1Q report that reported cash at the end of that quarter. The CC yesterday refers to cash at the end of their fiscal year. (I'm not sure why the cash burn is that high. I would have expected that there would be a drop in the cash burn, since the development of the hepatitis C drug, valopicitabine, has been halted. But then again, I don't know the cash burn before the trial was halted.) I think Dew would know the answer to that question.

2007-04-01 to 2007-07-14 Cash burn = ($5.77M x 3.5 months) to ($6.88M x 3.5 months) = $20.2M to $24.1M

2007-07-15 Cash on hand = $137.8M to $141.7M Approx. $140M

[OT] IDIX cash balance (1 of 3):

$100-110M is the projected cash balance on Dec 31, 2007. $160M is the balance on June 30, 2007, as mentioned in yesterday’s PR (#msg-21197309, second paragraph).
