You really don't understand how this stuff works. A manuever like this would never force a short cover, even if there were any shorts. The company, of course, is counting on people believing that it would. Quite a few people at RB have been buying.
The company could even be diluting into the mistaken "excitement". They dilute into practically everything, after all.
