What drugs are you aware of that MRK might utilize for retinal diseases? (appologies but I really haven't been following what is in the wings...could you link any previous info on Sirna-027 that might have already been shared?)
Interesting that the license also covers ivation-TA. They don't seem to be saying that they are going to load TA plus some other agent onto the same platform, it sounds more like they want the rights to ivation-TA as a treatment on its own. Is that how you interpret it?
If they can formulate it, such a device could have a formidably long duration! One idea might be to use siRNA-027-eluting microparticles, embedded in a shape memory coil composed of Eureka (bioerodible), but I'm just guessing. This deal with Merck is more exciting to me, having slept on it. In particular, I wonder whether Merck might go after dry AMD.
