Are you taking into account that MRK is supplying all of the experimental drugs to be tested with I-vation?
Triamcinolone is a generic steroid drug that SRDX chose to demonstrate proof of concept for the device. The main value in the deal for MRK is in marrying I-vation to MRK’s proprietary compounds for AMD / DME.
An interesting question is whether one of the drugs MRK will test with I-vation is Sirna-027, the RNAi drug that MRK acquired from Sirna Therapeutics. Regards, Dew
p.s. Your post comes across as sour grapes based on the failure of MRK’s PYY collaboration with NSTK. In that collaboration, MRK made a smaller financial commitment and didn’t contribute any technology or proprietary compounds to the collaboration.
