Prince is premiering his fragrance “3121” and performing for a small crowd at the Macy’s in Minneapolis on July 7th 2007.
I remember a poster saying that Chelsea Rodgers (the girl he is hyping on his 3121.com website and was seen wearing the Lyric “3121 Tee at the Booth way back at the Vegas Project Show) was a buyer for Macy’s.
Here’s a photo of Tracey Edmunds from the Avalon Party wearing the “3121” Tee as well. There was no mention of this shirt in Lyric’s press release, they mentioned Tracey wearing the “Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves” jeans.
I don’t know if there’s any tie-in or significance to the perfume or not. Not much info out there on why Prince is spotlighting Chelsea, other than there's a song titled "Chelsea Rodgers" on his upcoming Album "Planet Earth" due at the end of July. Girlfriend...Daughter...??? July should give us some more clues if Lyric can benefit from Prince’s PR machine.
