I also saw and felt the Western Rubber feedstock
months before they anounced the alliance. At the time they couldn't and wouldn't tell me where it was coming from but never the less this is the type of info you can pick up only by visiting the plant. We know now from the WR alliance PR that they were using the granulator manufactured feedstock on a trial basis to see if it was all what it was touted to be. It was and is, and as a result they are now leasing a granulator from WR.
Keep in mind that the granulator is capable of producing far more feedstock than RTI's combined 3 cracker mills running at full capacity can process. What will they do with all this excess very clean feedstock? Well one can speculate but the alliance PR states they will sell it.
This ability to produce 1/4 inch minus material, free of fiber, consistently and at a very high rate, opens up new previously unobtainable markets for us.
