When monopolists jack up prices, it goes straight to the bottom line. About price action in EBAY I don't have a clue. But if "they" want to continue to bida constant multiple for EPS that are now getting jacked up in the neighborhood of 20+% by virtue of this price increase, well then, I wouldn't be looking for a pullback so much as another euphoric run.
Also, when Google IPO comes to market, there will be all kinds of euphoric feeling for internet stocks and internet "powerhouses". I'm sure you can imagine the yapping on CNBC and all over the rest of the commentary universe. It will be euphoric and deafening. And it's hard to imagine that would jack up the likes of EBAY even further.
