No where in that link does it say that the US exported $3.5mm total in lumber to all of the ME. That's where I got that info about Chinas love of Canadian white woods. Chinas import of Canadian whitewood incresed from $9mm in 2001 to $52mm in 2005. The US imports from Canada totaled $6.6 billion in 2005 a lot of which was exported to the ME. You really should read the pages before you mis-quote them.
Perhaps, Guy42i, you should learn to do additional research and not just read one incomplete report. See, for example, my previous posting of the value of one class of wood product exports to Saudi Arabia from the US. More than a factor of 4 greater than the figure you cite for the entire ME.
