OT: this is an off topic post.. If everyone else does not mind.. I will take the liberty to answer his question...

GeminiJay... my personal recommendation is to use Metastock end of day for starters... it is very intuitive and easy to use...

There are many other more complicated ones out there.. but for a beginner I think the more complicated ones are information overload...

They are new sites and out of date now... but in a month or so.. I will have some super content on there you may be interested in ..

Trading For A Living by Elder is a great starting point. You'll need to understand the basics before you get into software. It will give you the basic theories and patterns. You must learn to develop your own style as time goes on. Feel free to click my name and check out the Tasty Boosher board. You can learn our basic method by a few months of observation after you read the book.
