On top of that Genzyme/Termeer strangled Pharming financially in 2000-2001 and in the process tried to "rob" them of their IP. Pharming went into legal moratorium and came out two years later, but as a Pharming shareholder I lost a lot of money due to Termeer's dirty tricks.

I, too, always had a gut feeling about our "friend" Genzyme.
Back in the early 90's, I was a shareholder of INGN (IG - Intergrated Genetics). IG had a meteoric rise to 18 & then settled at 1.50. In walks Henri & merged INGN into GENZ at 1.82(after a contentious shareholder meeting)from a low ball 1.75.

Genzyme has always taken care of their own. The President of the former INGN did quite well as you can see -

Genzyme did this with Biosurgery which was a tracking stock unlike GTC.

Was this the case for which Genzyme was fined by the SEC?
