Many sellers owed more than they could get for their homes
I was wondering how one could get statistics on Federal or State tax lein sales where the government gets first dibs on property value. This would probably represent the most agressive (deliquen) borrowers who didn't even pay taxes on a personal or coprorate level. They tend to spend every penny of equity and then some and walk away with the lenders recooping next to nothing.
