Impressive list of advertisers for a first show, gotta say. The network gets the money for the ads. They sold these advertisers on the idea of Reality Racing. Now it is up to RR to bring in the numbers to justify these advertisers coming back. I've worked in advertising for 15 years, know how it all ticks. This was the first show, so the ad sales folks at the network will probably be able to rope in most of these guys for another show or two as RR catches on. BUT, the numbers have to be there; a) in order to draw these big companies, and b) to justify Spike keeping RR in their line-up. The more $ the network makes off the ads, the more VALUE our little RR has, i.e. the more they can command from the network - say - for the second season of the show, i.e. the RICHER we get! RR will be able to command a better time slot for more exposure, etc. They're a lot like TFN in that they've got a great hook with they're logo, and the hype they're building up, all flashy and bold. It's what they deliver that will count.

I, too, was mixed on the show, but forgiving as it was the first. Thought the first "Challenge" was extremely LAME, but had to watch anyway. Was pretty caught up in it by mid show however, then that last race with the winner...Gawd, was he going like 15 mph, or what? Sorta a pffffttttttt of an ending, LOL. But, then again, I'd probably have done the same thing in his shoes having never driven one of those cars.

Bottom line, WE'RE OFF TO THE RACES!!! Yipeeeeeeeeee!!! I've got something new to do on Sat. mornings, LOL! GLTA :))
