Windows-style security hell stalks Mac OS X? Yeah, you wish...

Since Apple released Mac OS X, even the PC industry trade publications have raved about its quality, design, and features. PC Magazine even gave Mac OS X "Panther" a 5-star rating in October 2003. Perhaps it was because Macs could now seamlessly fit into the Windows- dominated marketplace and satisfy Mac users refusing to relinquish their trusty systems and corporate IT staffs wanting to cut down on tech support calls. Whatever the reason, Mac OS X has proven itself as a worthy operating system for both consumers and business alike.

Of course, as with all operating systems, Mac OS X has had its share of technical problems and even a few major security vulnerabilities. Nearly all were quickly resolved by Apple via a downloaded patch or OS update. But in general, Mac OS X is solid, secure, and perhaps the most trustworthy mainstream computing environment available today. As a result, Mac users are generally immune to the incessant security problems plaguing their Windows counterparts, and that somehow bothers PC Magazine columnist Lance Ulanoff.

Let me know how you uber-model turns out.
I will not be doing any further work on my scalp model until January. I tend to go for months without doing anything, then in a 2 week flurry of activity I test out my recent ideas.

So it sound like you have a cyber-stalker for some reason. Is this stalker a member of IHUB??

I think the problem with being a "guru" is that many unsophisticated investors tend to follow your calls. And if you get on a roll, the unsophisticated investor may figure that he has a meal ticket to fortune.
So he start making heavier and heavier bets (margin first, then options) on the "calls" of the guru, even though the guru quite plainly states that he/she is not that heavily invested due to uncertainty et. al.. Or is laddering into selloffs or taking some other more judicious track.
Then when the unsophisticate rube looses most or all his money, he goes nuts.

I try to make it a point not to mention the returns of my model online. I also post my trades after market close sometimes so that I do not attract the blind followers. I am interested in interacting primarily with other developers/users of models and systems.
