Okay I just called a few well service companies. I got prices ranging from as little as $2,000 to as high as $250,000. They all said it was imposible to know a price because it boils down to the condition of the well. Sometimes al they need is some grease, fix a few leaks and it's good to go. Others need to be completly reworked which can cost almost as much as simply drilling a new well. So unfortunatly it's hard to know. As for your other question I also do not know. I'm learning as I go just like everyone else. Maybe someone with more O&G knowlege can answer that.
