Indonesia says the New South Wales Coroner's Court has not produced
any new evidence that would warrant reopening the case of the Balibo five.

Former special forces captain, government minister and now
parliamentary member Yunus Yosfiah could not be reached today.

But as in the past he is expected to reject the finding by the coroner
that he ordered the shooting or stabbing of the Balibo five in 1975.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Kristiarto Legowo says
Indonesia's position remains that the case is closed.

"Why [would] we consider a closed case because we never see any
evidence that we can use as a passage to reopen the case,"
he said.

Mr Kristiarto said he [would not speculate on the possibility of Yunus Yosfiah
being extradited to Australia because no such request has yet been made.
