PokerVertigo...Yes, I most definitely do ask a person's name when I am asking pointed questions about a specific stock in which I am invested or about which I am inquiring.
More specifically, and more importantly, I would not even consider to post on a message board my questions to and my responses from "a company representative" without specifically identifying the respondent by name and/or title to allow for verifying the credibility and veracity of my post for other investors.
Maybe that is because of my scientific and professional background in that I am a medical doctor. I do consider the source when I am finding pertinent information to relate to others. If I state facts, I credit the source. I surely would want to know whether it was a stand-in temp I was talking to, a receptionist or someone specifically in management, not "some guy".....
