In Russia when they say "in Europe" it means “outside of Russia”. It’s kind of fuzzy, but Ukraine, Poland, Czech, etc. (I would say Eastern Europe or “former Soviet block”) doesn’t fit definition as well. And when they say “in America” it means United States, not Argentina, Brasilia, or even Canada. :)
