Short sellers contribute to the liquid market. Short sellers can sell to the buyers, etc.
Games and liquidity between traders are good things.
I can remember once buying and shorting a stock five times each in a single day (ten transactions) on the Nasdaq thru the ECN's.
Can be fun, I believe that is what's happening with IVAN. Some of the volume is getting turned over by the same traders.
Nerve wracking at times, but fun to watch.
Eventually it will become stable.
