OT: Ok, I was going to say something about the Levitra ads, but I get the impression that this is a family-oriented board, so I'll keep my crass thoughts to myself.
Augie: John Henry, Sox owner is an old commodities trader. If he wants A-rod, the bvest player in the game, he'll get him. Nomar, as much as I like his game, can be traded to a west coast team for a pitcher or two and a second baseman. UIt's business.
i strongly recommend michael lewis' (author of liar's poker) new book "moneyball". The book is about how the oakland A's, using unconventional approach, stat (instead of the conventional RBI, HR) & system (design by former derivatives trader)to evaluate what kind of players would win games for the team...since taking this approach, the As have been able to win a lot of games with one of the lowest payrolls in MLB.
