I just hope you have a healthy ticker to handle that kind of excitement!(g)
I do find it worrisome that the Nasdaq cancelled the trades, just because a trader screwed up his order. I gues the can "turn those machines back on!" when they want.(g)
If there were to by another 1987 type correction, or worse, what will Nasdaq and NYSE do? Say the market is to big to fail?(g)
Zeev, today was a BIG payday on top of gains already accrued over past 2 weeks. Things took some time to develop, but well worth the wait. I'll be covering in the morning.
zeev, Since we do not know the size of your trade it is hard to speculate. I would think you would trade 1000 share lots at a minimum. In my opinion the NAS is criminally wrong in not allowing the buys and then allowing the equity to re-open for sells. If I was on a jury I would easily award treble damages. If you bought 1000 shares and made an $11 profit that would come to $33,000. The NAS should have cancelled the early trades and not allowed the equity to re-open until the mess was properly scrutinized.
