I think that the DIY crowd is pretty small as a percentage of all users. Where I work, I'm pretty sure that there are no overclocked systems in the entire building. Of course we mostly have SFF Pentium 4 systems. You're risking meltdown if you OC those.
I think that I'd like a few Penryn systems too. But I might need one this spring. Most likely a 5600+ unless those INTC price cuts come through soon.
